Birth Mom, Anita's letter

To honor my birth mother, Anita, who passed 5 years ago…I want to share a very personal item with y’all.

This is the very first letter I received from my birth mother. The first thing I had ever held in my own hands that I knew she had held in hers too. In it, she tries to explain her reasoning for her decision to place me for adoption.
